How ISL Works · Non-Hosting · Non-Advertising

Brand Deal
Facilitation.

ISL papers, escrows and clears every brand deal between verified independent creators and the brands who want to hire them — a flat 15% net take-rate, 85% to the creator. Eight steps, one contract, one escrow, one Geography-Indexed Split. ISL never hosts creator content and never earns from advertising — the facilitation fee on brokered brand deals is our only revenue line.

01
Step 1 · Brand Submits Campaign

Brand submits a campaign brief.

A verified brand logs into ISL and files a campaign: deliverables, territories, usage window, budget band, and any exclusivity requirements. The brief is scoped to ISL — it is never posted publicly and never syndicated.

02
Step 2 · Creator Discovery

ISL shortlists Certified Human creators.

ISL matches the brief against the Directory using craft, niche, region, and Geography-Indexed Split tier. Only Certified Human creators are surfaced. There are no follower minimums, no watch-hour thresholds, and no ad-inventory gates — verification is the only requirement.

03
Step 3 · Creator Verification

Every shortlisted creator is human-verified.

Before a brief lands in a creator inbox, ISL re-checks the creator's Certified Human status, UCA signature, and payout eligibility. Brands only ever see real, contractable humans.

04
Step 4 · Brief Delivery

The brief is delivered directly to the creator.

The creator receives the full brief through their ISL dashboard — scope, timeline, budget band, deliverables, and usage rights — and accepts, declines, or counters. ISL does not skim inbound leads and does not resell creator contact details.

05
Step 5 · UCA Contract Generation

A contract-grade agreement is generated.

Once terms are agreed, ISL generates a per-deal Statement of Work bound to the Universal Creator Agreement. Deliverables, usage, exclusivity, kill fees, and payment schedule are papered end-to-end — countersigned by brand and creator.

06
Step 6 · Escrow

Brand funds the deal into escrow.

The brand deposits the full deal value into an ISL-facilitated escrow before any production begins. Creators start work knowing the money is already ring-fenced — no invoice-chasing, no 90-day payment terms.

07
Step 7 · Campaign Execution

The creator executes the campaign.

The creator produces and delivers the work on their own channels and rails — ISL does not host, republish, or store the output. Revisions and approvals run through the ISL deal room so every milestone is timestamped against the SOW.

08
Step 8 · Payment Release

Escrow releases on milestone acceptance.

On acceptance, escrow releases automatically: the creator receives 85% of the deal and ISL keeps a flat 15% facilitation fee. Geography never changes that — it only sets the tier for future ad revenue. The facilitation fee is the only way ISL earns from a brand deal — no ads, no hosting cut, no hidden margin.

The Rails Behind Every Deal

What ISL is — and what ISL is not.

  • ISL is a Certified Human creator verification platform.
  • ISL is a contract-grade brand deal facilitator.
  • ISL does NOT host creator content.
  • ISL does NOT run advertising.
  • ISL does NOT operate a revenue-share model.
  • ISL only earns when it brokers a brand deal.
Frequently Asked

Escrow, contracts, and payment timelines.

How does ISL escrow work?+

Once the SOW is countersigned, the brand deposits 100% of the deal value into an ISL-facilitated escrow account before production starts. Funds are ring-fenced for that specific deal, cannot be recalled unilaterally, and are only released against the milestones written into the SOW.

When is the UCA generated versus signed?+

The Universal Creator Agreement is signed once, at onboarding, and governs every deal a creator does through ISL. A per-deal Statement of Work (SOW) is generated the moment brand and creator agree terms — typically within 24–48 hours of the brief being accepted — and is countersigned before escrow is funded.

How fast is payment released after delivery?+

Escrow releases automatically within 3 business days of the brand accepting the final deliverable (or 7 days after delivery if the brand does not respond, per the SOW's deemed-acceptance clause). The creator's 85% share pays out to their verified payout rail; ISL retains the flat 15% fee.

What happens if the brand disputes a deliverable?+

Escrow holds the funds while ISL runs the SOW's revision cycle. If the dispute cannot be resolved, the SOW's kill-fee schedule applies and escrow releases the agreed portion to the creator — the brand cannot claw back funds outside the contract.

Does ISL ever take money outside the brokered deal?+

No. The facilitation fee inside escrow is the only way ISL earns from a creator. No ads, no hosting cut, no subscription, no listing fee, no upsell.
